With a little merengue in our hearts, we’ve expanded our repertoire of South American escapes into Colombia with this escape that delivers big cities, small towns, and national parks. “The Bog” awaits in La Cabrera, one of the city’s busiest neighborhoods. The area’s vibe is design savvy and distinguished. You can soak it all up from the panoramic rooftop bar. We love all the hotels on this tour but saved the best for last. Casa Lola is a gem. The influence of different cultures is evident. Composed of two buildings (of 17th-century colonial and 19th-century republican origin), the exteriors contrast the modern interiors and rooftop space. Amenities include a restaurant, a cocktail bar, a chill-out area, and 2 outdoor pools.

Bonus Stay: Medellín

This trip offers an optional three-night extension to Medellín, AKA The City of Eternal Spring. It’s Colombia’s second-largest metropolis; a major centre of art and culture in the Andes Mountains. You can enjoy dinner with a private chef or visit a coffee cooperative to learn about this essential beverage. But it may be worth joining us just for the accommodations.
