The Gay Travel Podcast
What's The Gay Travel Podcast all about?Kiki with Out Adventures' founder Robert Sharp and "enthusiastic traveler and professional big-mouth" Peter Graham, as the duo spill the tea on all-things gay and travel. Expect gay travel tips, insights, and a revolving door of glamorous LGBT guests.
Where can I download and listen to your podcast?The Gay Travel Podcast is available on iTunes, Spotify and our blog.
Who are these so-called "Glamorous LGBT Guests"?Examples of the Gay Travel Industry Experts we've invited onto our gay podcast include Ed Salvato of Man About World, Adam Bolton of Men's Retreats, Scott Furman of Gay Cities, Iris Serbanescu of TourRadar and Tanya Churchmuch of IGLTA.
I'm still confused what "Gay Travel" is and why it needs a podcast...We at Out Adventures throw around the term Gay Travel as carelessly as we do shade in our office. And while there's some wiggle room on the exact definition, to us, it is an umbrella term encompassing the following:
- Travelling to a gay destination such as Mykonos, Puerto Vallarta or Provincetown;
- Booking a vacation that aligns with international gay events such as world-famous Tel Aviv Pride or Queer Lisboa Film Festival;
- Joining a gay cruise or gay tour such as the fabulous expeditions we at Out Adventures host. For a complete list of our tours click here *wink*;
- Finally – and perhaps most importantly - simply being an international traveller and falling somewhere on the Kinsey scale other than straight. LGBT people face a series of obstacles while travelling, from simple speed bumps (assuring hotel staff the King-sized bed wasn't a mistake) to serious mountains (avoiding all PDA in countries where homosexuality is regretfully illegal).
Alright, I'm sold. When can I expect new episodes to come out?For Season 2, episodes will go online on the 1st and 15th of the month. If it's more convenient, you can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or Spotify, both of which will notify you when a new episode is available.
