From cosmopolitan Reykjavík to the pristine countryside, this 8-day Iceland adventure will immerse you in everything a woman could love about the land of Björk. Explore the stunning South Shore, visit an Icelandic goat farm, meet a female brewmaster, and soak away your worries in the healing waters of the Blue Lagoon. Now let’s get going, or as the Icelandic say, “Let’s get on with the butter”.

Halló – welcome to Reykjavik! After checking in to your room please join us for a welcome meeting at 5PM. We’ll meet our guide Ziggy, who will take us on a fascinating walking tour while she explains what the queer scene is like in this remote and sparsely populated country. Our walking tour will end at one of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants where we’ll enjoy our official Welcome Dinner.
For our first full day together, we’ll indulge in an epic road trip along Iceland’s western coast. We’ll enjoy the lush green landscape around Hraunfossar waterfalls and the lunar landscapes under the glacier Langjökull. A scenic picnic awaits before an afternoon spelunking Iceland’s mightiest cave system, Víðgelmir. Our road trip also includes a goat farm visit where we’ll meet purebred Icelandic goats – cuddly creatures that are on the brink of extinction. The goat breeder, Jóhanna, will explain how she helps keep the stock alive. After a busy day, we encourage you to unwind in the steaming hot tubs at our countryside hotel.
Today is dedicated to one of the most popular drives in Iceland: the Golden Circle. Beginning at UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, you’ll see hot springs and geysers, and learn how geothermal energy lets Iceland grow tomatoes and strawberries in artificially-lit greenhouses. After lunch at the tomato and strawberry farm (at your own expense) we’ll slip over to highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits, exploding geysers and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air. Our final activity today is a rejuvenating (and quiet) dip in the secret lagoons located in a small village. Enjoy dinner on your own, or join the group for a bite at your own expense.
A drive to the outskirts of the Icelandic highlands brings us to a pastoral landscape full of rivers, ponds and waterfalls. We’ll hike into Gjáin, aka The Gorge, and enjoy a rugged 4X4 journey to Háifoss waterfall. We’ll enjoy a special visit to a local lesbian farmer’s sheep farm. Our day ends at the Hrauneyjar Highland Centre, where we’ll enjoy dinner at our own expense and spend the night.
Rise and shine, Ladies! Today we’ll hike a breathtaking but generally uninhabitable part of the country. Once we arrive at Landmannalaugar, geothermal baths will help limber us up before we return via Fjallabak, where the landscape is laden with moss-covered craters. Tonight we’ll stay in a cozy but modern guesthouse and an included seasonally inspired dinner.
Today we visit the magical Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. Witness the mighty power of Iceland’s glaciers, and even trek the glacier under the guidance of a trained professional. Afterwards we’ll visit the richly named Diamon Beach, where smaller icebergs lie scattered along the beach. This is also a great place to spot seals. Then we drive back to the guesthouse for one more night.
This morning we’ll drive back to Reykjavik along the South coast, with stops to admire waterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches. After a quick not-included lunch, we’ll appreciate craft pints at Ölvisholt Brewery (Lady Brewer), where we’ll meet their female brewmaster. After a few more photo stops, we’ll end up at the world-famous Blue Lagoon where we can relax for a few hours before dinner at equally famous LAVA Restaurant. Today ends back where our tour began, Reykjavik.
There are no activities planned today, so you are free to further enjoy Reykjavik and depart at your leisure. Safe travels and thank you for joining our big lesbian Iceland tour!
