Hi! I’m Meg. Out Adventures’ newest ambassador and lesbian tour host. I thought I’d take a minute to introduce myself because you’ll be seeing a lot of me around here.

Lesbian travel blogger, Meg Ten Eyck overlooking the Danube River in Budapest.

I’m a queer femme and have been traveling the world for the last eight years. 🏳️‍🌈 🌎 I wear many hats in the world of queer travel but I’m best known as the editor of EveryQueer Magazine and for my work helping travel brands become more LGBTQ2+ inclusive.

At EveryQueer our team is focused on inspiring people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender presentations to think differently about the global queer community through a lens of travel, culture, and activism. Our hope is to ultimately build a bridge between queer people across identities and borders.

Over the years I’ve admired and respected the team at Out Adventures tremendously.  Unfortunately, we’re in an age where spaces for queer women are rapidly closing. I jumped at the chance to combine forces with the Out Adventures team because I believe in the regenerating power of queer people coming together as a community. Building out tour options for queer women provides an outlet for seeing ourselves reflected while having experiences that help us understand other cultures.

As part of our collaboration, the EveryQueer team will be providing articles to help get you excited and prepared for our upcoming adventures. I will even be hosting a group tour of Thailand in 2021 so you’ll be seeing a lot of me around here.

With that, here are a few tidbits about me, my interests and what you’re in for with me:

  • I’ve been to over 50 countries.
  • Pineapple does belong on pizza
  • I wrote a book about digital activism.
  • Carmen was overrated. Alice was annoying. But mostly, Tasha should get her own spinoff series for my viewing pleasure.
  • I feel the most at home when I’m on stage giving presentations & speeches about the queer community.
  • Why yes, I am a Leo.
  • My favourite countries are Thailand, Sweden, Portugal, and Brazil but not necessarily in that order.

In the coming months we’ll be publishing articles that highlighting queer movers and shakers in travel while showcasing travel destinations that are welcoming and inclusive of our community. I’m excited to work alongside you all to build a travel experiences that are smart, sassy, diverse and queer AF.
